Default packing boxes

Hi everyone, sorry to still be going on about this, but I'm confused! I want to just send one little box to oz with a few photos etc. I've had various quotes and voovit look ok, they say you can complete customs clearance yourself, is this hard? and does it end up costing a lot more than the price they quote you for the box? any help very much appreciated (I leave in 10 days- panicking slightly!)

I did this with a box I sent by Excess Baggage - the importers called me when it arrived, I went out to the Customs depot at Brisbane Airport, signed for the box, produced th list of contents, they had a quick look inside, and I paid the fee on the spot and took it home with me.
If a form does the clearance for you, you pay them the fee as part of their charges, if you clear it yourself you pay the fee direct to Customs.
Very easy, nothing to worry about
