Nu-Shooz, I know where you mean but no. I'm more used to places where cutlery is optional although for special occasions we'd sometimes scrub up and go to Nawaab.

I think it's Nawaab - on the corner, up the hill from the ever so upmarket Telephone Club?

do they sell Pure Blonde beer anywhere in uk? Great lager and easy on the beer belly! Never found proper curry in Sydney after being brought up in Yorkshire! Mind u in Cheshire at mo and can't get proper curry here either, have to head down the M62!

akbars great in Bradford but had an awful meal at the one in leeds city centre!

You should move East then, we have a "proper" English Indian Curry in the Brisbane Bayside.

Most places here do it the Australian Indian way.

I wouldn't mind it the Indian Indian way (and I know there are several Indian Indian ways) but so far I've been very disappointed with Sydney's offerings. Not enough to move back to Blighty, of course.

There was one in Penrith that we went to, first time was with an Indian that I used to do some work for, and he said it was like cooking from back home.

I'd never seen Indian food like that before
