Thanks for all the info ppl......I was a bit vague in my original post I think....I did mean going for a dip in a swimming pool.
I s'pose what we have to do now is find out if the pools are useable or whether they are restricted during the winter months!

Haven't bothered taking the gas issue any further after the pool suppliers have told us how expensive it is. On the other hand you must be able to have both. It would simply be a matter of running the water from the solar collectors through a gas pool heater before going back into the pool? It would be interesting to know if a gas pool heater could be connected to a solar heated pool system after it has all been installed. For example we will go the cheaper option of just solar heating but after the first year might decided to add gas heating too? Oh dear, it took us months to decide on what we exactly wanted, now you've got me thinking again :scared:
I told him wanted an indoor pool!!!!
