Hey Fraser, it will all start to become more real once the slab is poured!

Can you remind me which Porter Davis house you chose, and if it's not too personal a question, how much more than the advertised "list price" the actual price ended up being (not including soil tests, losing your boundary pegs etc!)

Would be great if you could keep us updated on your build with photos.

Thanks

Buzzy

Sorry mate it wasn't AQIS I was working for they were just there checking the container.

I've worked the last couple of days for a transport company in Laverton north unloading containers.

I think the cost was $154400 and we're paying $172k odd.

That's with the site costs (which is for piers which the builder who built the house behind assures me are not needed )

There 's only really $1000 of extras in that as we took most of them out.

It's the Capri

Good luck with the house mate...We are a few months behind you but will watch for your progress threads to see how it goes.
Hopefully we will be able to post our own 'House started' thread soon.

Ooooh exciting! 164 days is less than 6 months isn't it, don't think you would get it done that quick over here would you?

Hope it all goes smoothly for you.

Apparently they're known for finishing ahead of schedule as they have their own team of contractors who work exclusively for them.

We shall see

Thanks

Isn't it a bit early for you to be up and about?

Or have you wet the bed?
