Hi All,

Nope, it won't be covered.

You may well find that no one will actually just do the checking. There have been several reports on here that the orthodontist will usually whip off the braces fitted in UK and start the process from the beginning again as well.

Very true. My daughter had started her treatment in UK then when we emigrated to Perth the Ortodontist wanted to whip them off and do it all over again, his way.....+ 5 grand.

We said no...she came back to UK anyway and had it all done for free.

not too sure to be honest- my daughter will be having 4 wisdom teeth out and its costing $2500 and we have been advised that if you spend over $1500 on 'medical' expenses you can claim back tax, but how much I'm unsure, so you will have to check if ortho is classed as medical or cosmetic

For every dollar spent on medicals above $1500, you get 20cts back when you do your tax return.
