opening up a bank account now
Just toying with the idea of opening up a bank account now, roughly 12 months before arrival.
I've been in contact with ozforex and am getting a deal allowing me to transfer smaller amounts at a good price.
So was thinking of opening up an account and depositing 2000€ each month into the account to start building up some credit history.
Would this make a defference with credit history???
would it be worth it?
Was thinking of open up a westpac account and then just sitting on it for 12 months.

it doesnt seem to matter since your credit will be limited by your residence status. Ive just set up an account for a friend so they can pay in cash etc - they just need to supply id when they arrive and will pick up atm cards etc.

Otherwise the banks seem a lot better than the UK ones. We are with ANZ and they are very helpful
