Default Occupations in Demand List for individual states

We have found the main list of occupations in demand list - but how do we find this list for each state. Popeye is an Electrician and we wondered if they are in demand anywhere in particular.
Help on this would be much appreciated - thanks Olive.

Hi Olive

I have attached the demands lists for Victoria which were for Jul-Dec 02 but are still in force per the Victoria website http://www.migration.vic.gov.au/CA25...D?OpenDocument

You may want to look at other Govenment websites for SA and TAS

Good Luck

Terry

As I understand it not all states have a stni list. I've not heard of one for Queensland but would be very happy to be wrong [as long as my trade was listed]

Try this site for South Australia.

http://www.immigration.sa.gov.au/si...te_page_id=5491

They are seeking Electricians. Depends what your ASCO code is when your skills are assessed.

Only 3 states currently do STNI, SA, VIC & TAS.

Thanks for telling me Terry. Oops!

Try http://www.immigration.sa.gov.au/site/index.cfm

Or if you go on the main immigration. sa site, click on 'fact sheets' & then click on 'job opportunities in sa' it's got all the current occupations in demand for sa. Phew! I need a drink!

Olive,

Only SA, VIC, and TAS have a system of State Nomination at the moment.

You can access the lists of "wanted occupations" via these two webpages:
http://www.gomatilda.com/news/article.cfm?articleid=224
http://www.gomatilda.com/news/article.cfm?articleid=253

I think we can expect to see some changes to the VIC list soon ... as always I'll post details on the News page of the Go Matilda site as soon as I'm aware of them.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the replys.

I see that the list for SA seems to have electricians on it, so I will put on my form that this is where we want to go (not sure where we want to be at the minute).

Thanks again everybody.

Popeye.
