Default Gold Coast Holiday Rental Agents, Please Help!

Hi there folks,

Only a few weeks till we validate our PR Visas to Oz on a six week trip. We are based in Sydney but are going to travel a little up the east coast and are looking to be based in either the Gold Coast or Brisbane area for around one week.

Does anyone know of any rental agents that we may contact for accommodation costs. We're not looking to spend a fortune but something suitable for 2 adults and 2 kids (2 and 5) would be great.

Any help appreciated.

Ginny

Hi Ginny,

I've been doing the same thing! Found a site on the internet called "www.holidayrentals.com.au" yesterday. I've sent a couple of e:mails off to different premises asking for availability, costs, etc. I've had one reply so far but it was the most expensive one we tried. Works out at about £200 for a week for a family of 3. Looks very nice though.

I'm sure there's some cheaper ones out there so if anyone knows please let us know.

Cheers
Kate

Heard about this website http://www.wotif.com on one of the Travel Programmes on TV.

Or have a look here http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=e...e+Search&meta=

This random example http://coastbeaches.com/GoldCoast/Ac...e/ClubSurfers/ works out about $560 a week (that's about £200)

Hi there,

Thanks folks for those links. Some pricey apartments and others seem fairly reasonable. I've also had a look at www.realestate.com.au which has a holiday rental section.

Any other suggestions please post them.

Many thanks

Ginny

Try www.needitnow.com.au

when we went over last year we used them to book all of our hotels. Some of the savings are great.

Some areas have apartments as well. I looked up the Sunshine Coast recently and they had 6 different 2 bed apartments for around $100 per night. Nice places too.

Good luck with your search, we intend to book a place through them for 3 weeks when we leave.
