Hi,

Getting myself in a right muddle with car insurance. I think I understand what the green-slip does and does not cover, and I have taken out comprehensive cover for piece of mind. The dealer I am buying my used car from is putting 6 months rego on it.

Does this mean they will have to provide the green-slip insurance, meaning I do not need to do anything (apart from ensuring I transfer registration and pay stamp tax?)

Any helped would be great.

They can't rego the car without a green slip and also a pink slip if it's - can't remember how many years old it has to be for that!
I should have added that if he is doing the rego for 6 months he will also have to do the green slip for 6 months.
