Jo
Haven't seen your poll thread yet - but just another suggestion to add to the mix
What about back at Swadling Park at Toowoon Bay - its got all we need - shelters, BBQ machines, kiddies playground, grass areas, safe beach, 2 cafes, car park, handy toilets etc - plus as its a Saturday it shouldn't be anywhere near as busy as last time - when of course there was also a surf carnival on

Re: NSW CENTRAL COAST MEET UPS
Looking forward to the meet-up which, I think, is still set for March 8th. We have another couple of ex-pats who would like to attend, Londoners, same as us. Hope it's OK for them to just roll up?

Yes - still on for Saturday 8 March. No problem re an additional couple - are/were they also BE correspondents ?
Don't forget to "vote" - Jo has kindly put up a poll for people to register their preference - the "somewhere else" bit is currently showing a preference for Swadling park above Toowoon Bay where we had the previous meet.
Regards
Jim
ps don't forget your picnic-type chairs and small table if you have some - or a good rug

Re: NSW CENTRAL COAST MEET UPS
1 week to go and Swadling Park seems to be a fav so thats make it official. Is there somewhere nearer to a kiddie park or shall we meet in the same location. I dont think it will be sea weather so that doesnt matter. We should have a wet weather alternative too. Maybe an RSL clud or similar and bring some board games for the kids.

Just back from a decorating weekend at our Paul's - hard graft
OK - Swadling Park at Toowoon Bay it is then. Let's say from 12 noon onwards to suit both the early and late birds.
If we meet in the general area which we did last time that will give us access to the BBQ machines and the kiddies playpark bit and good tree shelter.... and the toilets won't be far away.
The forecast at the moment is for good weather and up to 28C on Saturday so, hopefully, the need for a "wet weather venue" will not arise but I will suss one out for that general area and post it up in due course. If the weather eventually looks iffy we can make a final decision on Friday and post on here.
