In case you feel like 'spotting' us, we're both the same height (about 5'5") and its Steve that has a short beard, not me. Jo & Steve I'm offended now....... yes my hat does have corks..... what's wrong with that? ;)[/QUOTE] You look great in your Australia hat Sally  |

What have your agents said? I'd have thought they would sell pretty quickly on your road. Or is it the neighbours? Mind you, Debbie's on holiday at the mo! |

Haven't been into Notts pubs for 12 years now, so obviously 'dress code' has changed since I was last there! Good on yer, if you've got the bottle to wear them. Does that mean we can get away with wearing jeans now? Jo & Steve |

How's Chris and the kids coping. Nick All fine now. Buried him up at my friend's farm. Sam (eldest, nearly 14) was upset the most, which surprised me!! He does have a heart...wow! Anyway, looking forward to Saturday. Having early nights this week so i'll last past 11 !!! Thinking of NOT drinking wine as i just can't cope with the headache after so it may have to be lager!! Chris had to go to DRI today and have a camera shoved up his nose and down his throat (sorry if you're eating your tea) but they didn't find any probs (got a lump in his neck) so that's a relief. He's got to have an ultra sound on it just to be sure. Should be going out tonight (darts!!) but just feel too stressed and depressed so having early night!! Good news..... another viewer coming Friday at 2pm who hasn't got anything to sell.... is this the one????!!!!!!! :D |

Look on the positive side - things can only get better!!!! Good look for Friday - the way I'm feeling at the moment - we're seriously thinking of going as soon as we can - totally hacked off at work - not the kids - will tell more on Saturday Nick |

Re: Notts meet 24th June
Sorry to hear about your kitty, for some reason I haven't been getting any mail since god knows when. Hope you're feeling a little better. Your 14 year old probably freaked the most cos I think they have more of an idea about what 'forever' means at that age. Tell him he can have a wombat when he gets out there, poor luv. I do know how you feel :( . When Steve has had a lot of these jobs to do during his day, he comes home as drained as the owners, especially if they are long time clients that he's had a lot of history with.
How's your OH taking it? Jo & Steve

Re: Notts meet 24th June
I've a lot of respect for someone who is prepared to put their new futures on hold on account of their elderly pets - good on yer. There are so many who just march them down to the vets thinking the vet can be kidded on that their time has come  . Shame they cant be charged extra for being selfish b*stards :D . Did you know that vets cant even find the animals a new home if the owner has decided that they are to be put to sleep - even if the animal is healthy? I tell you, some people make me soooo angry  Respect whizzing its way to you ;)

How's your OH taking it? Jo & Steve Thanks Jo. We're all feeling pretty fed up this week. When we finally get to Aus we want a doggy so the kids have got that to look forward to! The only trouble is they want one each so may have to put my foot down!! Michelle (Fozzie) used to post on here before she moved to Melbourne, emailed pics of her new baby chocolate lab called Henry...aaahhhh....we want one! |

Can't believe there are people out there who would put a pet down because it was convienenant - the only word I can use is SCUM. Sam is 18 and his back legs are going, as I said Scooby has cancer, but they can't say how long. Both are rescued dogs.Sam was thrown out of a car and ran over on the motorway, had him for 14 years, he's my baby.Am preparing myself for what will happen. Oz will happen, when it happens.Would prefer it to be sooner, but not at the expense of my babies. |
Re: Notts meet 24th June
Well, waiting for people to show up at 2!!
Had a very, very strange chap knock at door this morning... said he'd sold his house, seen this house and would we 'do-a-deal' without agents??? Strange. Of course i didn't invite him in :D house far too messy ;) but i did give him my mobile number and he said he'd phone later when his missus finishes work. My sister reckons he was pulling a fast one and was gonna rob me but when he realised i was 'butcher' than him he came up with a cock & bull story. Thanks sis!! Had another phone call from agent with a another viewing at 10 tomorrow morn!! Better go out all night so as to not mess house up again!! Anyone want 3 kids overnight? :D I'll keep you posted........... |
