Not everyone is 'too bone idle to spend an extra 20 mins commuting to work'....some people just don't earn enough to have that choice. I for one know many people stuck living in the middle of Portsmouth because they just can't afford to move out. Their jobs don't pay enough to afford them the luxury of a nice view outside of Pompey.
Agree with you there Artep.
Peoples circumstances are so very different.
As I said generalisations do not help.
Interestingly one of my sons has just moved to Portsmouth and is renting quite an expensive apartment in the city centre so cost is not really a good guide either.
