No, but we do have 2 massive TV's on every floor not to mention a good supply of those chips that come in a can.

Never really watched TV there, neither here, just the occasional documentary or film.

Weather has no bearing in the matter.

Yes... Hugh Fernley Wittingsale (sp) and Sarah Beeny to name two, Both brilliant presenters.... Nothing like them in Aus.

From my point of view HFW, is the most watchable bloke on TV.

We are used to watching what some of you call "American rubbish" like CSI etc, so am quite happy with normal telly. Now the summer is here we won't be watching much anyway.
Sorry if I have upset everyone, but not being a slave to the tv was just one of aims when we got here.
I never watched Corrie or Emmerdale in England, so don't feel the need to watch it here.
Most brits make getting foxtel one of the first things on their list to get installed here.
This is not a dig at anyone, just can't see the point.

As the Expat in the house - I don't watch the TV at all now; used to get an hour a week but that seems to have fallen by the wayside now as it clashes with some other thing he watches. Doesn't really bother me, I have the computer
The Aussie in the house can't cope without Foxtel, proving that its not just brits that go for it. The TV is on all day, every day, he couldn't cope without Foxtel. Too hot to be outside most of the summer as well, so I don't really subscribe to that argument.

Not working here. Ahh that's right, we don't have it thank goodness for being able to download stuff

Do recall ad (it must be for Foxtel) that has a tag line of 'nothing'

My hubby can't cope without it either. Golf, golf and more golf! And then he has the cheek to make comments about me always being on my laptop

At least I know it's not just ours - was thinking about trying to get to the plug socket to switch it off and reset it - might as well not bother!
