Mandurah does a good thing

They have fireworks at 9.30 and again at midnight

Live bands, loads of free things to see and do as well as the normal stalls selling crap oops i mean stuff!

We went there last year, it was excellent plus we bumped into some friends (well her Hub, we couldn't find her)

The fireworks in Perth are a big thing. If we weren't going to a party we would have took the boat out on the river and watched them from there.

Didn't Mandurah confuse everyone last year? Everyone piled down there because there were some the year before but there were none last year. Or was that Australia Day?

I read somewhere that that firewok factory blaze in Sydney has taken out most of Australia's firework stock and this would affect Perth's New Year display.

Mandurah's fireworks are excellent. We saw them last year for Christmas, New Year and the Crabfest but this years Christmas ones last week beat them all hands down. They have cracked down on drinking outdoors though and were getting everyone to pour their drinks away so I imagine it will be the same New Year

The Boat at Mindarie is doing fireworks but it won't be on the same scale as the ones in the city.
