Im Rachel, Im 26 and I moved to Fremantle about 2 months ago (My husband and I moved here from Scotland) I would love to make some friends local to the area - the only people I know in Oz live nowhere near me! Does anyone have any suggestions of places to go to meet people? Im quite into fitness and I have joined a local gym but I am quite shy so was thinking maybe team sports might be an easy way to meet people? Trouble is I cant find any in Freo! Any advice/ideas would be great.

Yes, sport is very popular here, if sport is your thing. I see a lot of females playing netball and tennis, but there are a lot of different options out there. There are tennis clubs scattered around and golf courses. Some females are very into arts and crafts. Perhaps these links would help:

Try gumtree to see if there's someone else near you who wants a jogging, yoga or whatever partner.
