Need Support
HI EVERYONE, MY NAME IS SAMM AND I AM EMIGATING WITH MY HUSBAND AND OUR NINE YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND OUR DOG, TO ROCKHAMPTON IN QUEENSLAND ON THE 4TH OF SEPTEMBER 03.
IT HAS TAKEN 14 MONTHS TO GET OUR VISAS BUT THEY FINALLY ARRIVED. NOW THAT IT IS SO CLOSE I AM VERY NERVOUS. IM NOT BOTHERED ABOUT FLYING, I THINK ITS THE FACT WE ARE LEAVING ALL OUR FAMILY BEHIND AND IT IS SUCH A LONG WAY FROM HOME.
IT HADNT REALLY SUNK IN THAT WE MAY ACTUALLY GET THROUGH TO AUSTRALIA AS THINGS HAVNT GONE TOO WELL FOR US IN THE LAST 2 YEARS.
THAT IS WHAT PROMPTED US TO TRY A FRESH START. WHERE BETTER THAN AUSTRALIA. SUCH A BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY.
I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT ROCKY.
I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO IS EMIGRATING AT THE SAME TIME OR TO THE SAME PLACE FOR FRIENDSHIP AND SUPPORT ETC.

Welcome to the forum Mumfie.
You are not the first and definately wont be the last to have the jitters. We have all been through them at one stage or another, and at times still do.
Most people on here are great, and somehow to have others who are going through the same thing as us to talk to, really understand where you are coming from.
There are the odd one or two that spoil it, but we just ignore, and that is my advise to you otherwise you will get into arguments and fights, and this is exactly what they want.
We are going to Perth, so can't help you with your location questions, but I an sure there will be someone on here that knows the area.
Good luck with your move, and remember the forum should you need advise, help or just to let go a few words to make you feel better.
