Need iPlayer streaming advice

I have a TV which we don't bother with an aerial as when we signed up with Telstra they sent us a roku device so we use that to watch SBS, Iview, Aussie Netflix, etc. Our TV is a cheapie but new and has three HDMI ports (plus other sorts I am sure).
Soon it'll be time for the Bake Off and Strictly and we want to watch them
! But I don't want to lose the Australian TV through the roku thingy set up I currently have - well, happy to swap to UK netflix! Is there any easy way to have both? I suppose I could set up a thingy on my laptop (pay a site to make it look like we are in the UK) and plug it into the TV (which is what we did in NZ and gave us UK and US netflix for one subscription) but the problems are a) my laptop is crap b) we only have the one laptop here so that would be awkward c) before we got fibre in NZ we did get a lot of buffering but we get none using the roku with ADSL2 d) I like how user friendly the device is.
Any ideas?

That's the minimum of mucking around with your existing setup - HDMI 1 is the Telstra box and Australia, HDMI 2 is this additional box and UK.
And be aware that getting Netflix arranged to access overseas Netflix databases is a LOT harder than before - they tend to recognise smartDNS providers and also when you move from Australia to the UK and back in the space of 5 mins. That's why they have lost subscribers and have had their stock tank as a result ....

OK, thanks GarryP. So if I forget about UK netflix and just prioritise getting access to UK free TV do you have any device recommendations that would suit us?
Or anyone else?
I wish iPlayer would just charge me a subscription!

Something like X9 TV BOX Android 6.0 Amlogci S905X TV Box but there are many options around. They will also drive 4K TVs, if you can find any content.

Check out UKTVEVERYWHERE - it's a little box that plugs into your TV and connects to your internet, and streams live TV from the UK. They have different packages, so you can have up to 150ish channels. It also automatically records most channels, so you essentially have a catch-up service too! I've been using this in Singapore for the last 6 months, and have since ditched our TV service in Singapore because I no longer need it. They have a website - have a google
