does anyone know the dialing code for Perth Australia from UK

As far as I know the dialing code is 00 61 then the area code for Perth, dropping the 0.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will set you straight.

You must have international call barring switched on. Give them a ring and they'll take it off for you, but I think it takes 24 hours.

Why not try using one of the cheap phone bypass companies like www.teldiscount.co.uk. You effectively dial a UK No (0844 861 86 86) and it costs 1p/minute (though check how much NTL charge for the number just in case )

just popped in to see what's going on before finding out dialing codes for Oz - we're off on plane this evening for reccie/interview, leaving 2 very young children with granny!!

If you have international roaming with your UK mobile and you want to call an Australian no. on it whilst in Australia, you just dial the local number
