Thumbs up need help

I we are hoping to move to Australia I am 47yrs old married with 3 kids 18,16 and 13. I am time served self employed contracting electrician, as my age is over 45 could I still get accepted to Australia as a skilled worker. If we where to sell up our property in England we would be able to bring £220,000 with us. My wife works as a personal secretary and my eldest daughter is training in web page design the other 2 kids are still in school. Any advice would be much appreciated.

You are too old for skilled migration, pure and simple, unless you get in as your wife as the skilled applicant - how old is she?

I'm not sure if the business visa route is open to you. Try the migration advice board.

You'll need to be careful too if you want your 18 year old to be able to join you. Under some circumstances she could be treated as a non-dependant. If there's a will, there's a way, but you'll probably get a quick clear picture of all options via a migration agent. Unfortunately, Badgersmount is right, skilled migration isn't an option for you.

Good Luck.

43 is under the top limit of 45, so get your skates on if she has a skill on what is called the Skilled Occupations List.

We are using Concept Australia, they have been spot on for us. It still hasn't prevented a lot of stress getting the correct paperwork together, but they have been a guiding light.
hope it goes well

I would not recommend them even though i got my visa. I had more help from Alan Collet at go matilda, try them or Ian harrop.
Do a search on M Agents there is loads of info. Good luck.
