Hi All

We have just arrived in Brissie and have just moved to Albany Creek (3 days ago) - I am really missing my friends back home - and as I haven't got a job yet, its going to be hard to get out and about to meet people.

My fella is doing ok as he's meeting people thru work - I'm missing just having someone to chat to and go out with for a few drinks etc

I'm 30 with no children and would love to hear from anyone that could help me settle in a bit - would really appreciate it before I start talking to the spiders

Haven't a clue where Albany Creek is but know how you feel at first as is all big and shiny but no friends. Good luck with your quest.

Theres a couple of christmas nights out, their a group of us girls going to the casino on fri 16th Dec and a couples night the next evening. I know there are people coming from your area as I have a friend who is Bridegman downs...there is a few people sharing cabs in and out of time...you are more than welcome to join us or maybe do the couples one on the saturday or come to both!...if you pm jjjhm she will give you all the details and then if you are intersted you could travel in and out together.

Mandi and Stu, Your lucky beggars There already! Glad you both had a safe journey, we will be out in Jan and heading to Cleveland area so when we arrive we will drop you a thread as we would love to meet up with you both for a beer . We have 3 girls but all growing up now and very INDEPENDENT :scared: . Many good people here on Expats so you will wish you never posted for mates - you have been warned Your plaice will never be quiet again and you kettle will retire under pressure.
