Nationwide Flex Account
#31
The only time I was charged was at a Matilda service station ($2). I didn't know until I checked my account online.

So can you just confirm, that if you leave the country you can notify Nationwide and change your address from a UK to an Australian or a Canadian address? On their site they say you have to be a UK resident, presumably then that is only for opening the account, after that you can change your address to anywhere in the world? We have maintained our Nationwide accounts but havent changed our addresses yet, my husband is worried that we will have to close them. I find them very useful for ordering presents etc on line for folks still in the UK. I do not really have anyone in the UK whose address I could use, most are elderly and I would want to confuse them by using their address.

Sorry for cross-posting this question, but would appreciate help with this.
Have any of you transferred large sums (10k or more) from your Nationwide account. We are hoping to move over in next few months and I saw in other threads that you can only do 5k at a time from Nationwide.
We will wait for the xchange rate to improve (if they ever do !) and use ozforex to transfer. If there is a brief spike (like last August), we will want to react quickly and this will be difficult if it has to be done in small chunks
