My wife will be chuffed to bits when she hears of the exciting lifestyle ahead of her (NOT!) Thing is, do people think badly of you if you don't accept these invitiations? generally I presume we all want to fit in when we go to OZ so.......does that mean that we HAVE to go? :scared: |

I remember my mum buying clothes on layby when I was a kid in NZ in the 1970s. No ordinary people had credit cards then. We used to go and pay a bit each week from the family pay packet (and it really was a pay packet - cash in a brown envelope...not like Neil Hamilton's though:D) until we had paid it off and could collect it. Many conversations amongst mum's friends along the lines of "I've got a lovely blue dress on layby for Susan's wedding". Have me shot to put me out of my misery if I feel the need for Tupperware parties...:scared: |
Doh! Not been invited to a Tupperware party yet, have to make do with red Dot's finest imitation stuff! Have been to a Crafty Kids party though. Nuff said! I'm really looking forward to Diane's herb and cheesecake party though!!

When I was in Perth in 96 I went to my sisterinlaws sisters house for a tupperware party. We had the games that they play first. One question was "as dry as a ?" and we had to fill in the missing word. I quickly replied "a nun" If looks could kill and would have been dead . Is it me and my mind because I really thought that was the obvious answer.Teehee BooBoo The Barbarian:D |

Hmm instead of making fun of people using layby, maybe you should just be thankful that you have enough money that you are not forced to do the same. Not everyone qualifies for a credit card, you have to realise that there are a lot of pensioners and others out there doing it hard. Sure $20 might not be much to you and me, after all we probably pay more than that for internet access every month, but for some it is a lot of money.

Ann Summers in Oz...
Hi Tina,
no there isn't any Ann Summers party plan out in Oz yet, so unfortunately when I leave I will have to hang up my whip and blindfold ( Purely demonstration items, you understand!) until they follow me to the land down under. As an A.S employee I have enquired about the possibility of running a franchise, but it's a no go. Maybe I'll set one up myself - theres obviously room for a little'un like me!:) Best wishes, Leigh.:) |
