anyway, meant to go home next week, but wants to stay till march...visa and insurance good..

dilemma is she flies on the sunday night from brisbane...wait for it..the in laws arrive sun am into brisbane ..so looking for a hotel/ apartments..good standard that are close to airport, maybe near nice areas of brisbane.. as we have seen nothing of that area..collect in laws go to hotel..then back at night with my mum...

any suggestions?

I think he means his inlaws are due on the morning that his mum flies out of the same evening, so she (his mum) needs to stay in a hotel near the airport (as opposed to his inlaws finding somewhere for a night)...

Mm don't get it either. Is that in march there is the overlap? If your mum is changing her flights why doesn't she just book her flight a day or two earlier so the inlaws aren't dumped into a hotel the moment they arrive?

There are a couple of hotels near the airport, but I'm not sure they'd really meet the criteria of being in areas that you'd want to "see something of" - you'd probably do just as well with somewhere in the city if you want to do the touristy thing as well.

Sensible option would be for your mum to fly out on Saturday night and YOU stay overnight in a hotel, picking up the inlaws in the morning and then driving back up to wherever it is you live...Hervey Bay??

As it stands you'll probably need to pay for Saturday and Sunday nights in a hotel even if you don't plan to stay Sunday night...or do you??

Take your mum to the airport when you pick up the in laws. Leave her there with a thermos of tea and a book, leave with your in laws. Sorted.

sorry forgot to write..she is staying till 4th march..sat night flught was going to cost $700 more as against $200 on sunday.

will need hotel sat night, leave her with grandkids sunday morning..then nip to airport collect the inlaws..at 06.40 am..
so got till 5pm at night till i need to go back with my mum..
we are going to stay in brisbane and sunny coast for a few days with the inlaws...
was thinking maybe stay near southbank, let inlaws enjoy a boat tour on river..lunch etc..they maybe knackered ..although they will have a 2 night stay in dubai..so might not to too jet lagged //
