Default Moving to perth

The wife and I are shortly moving to perth (DEC 06) and we're wondering what to take, (all expenses paid by company employing her)

Do I take our electrical gear, TV's, DVD players, PS2 , Laptop etc

will these things work over there?

any other must haves that are easy to get in the uk but not Perth?

Hook it up with an oz video or set top box and it will be fine. alternatively just hook it up in games room with uk dvd or video for you (or kids if you have them) to watch dvds or videos on.

So it's the RF input (Aerial) that doesn't work, right?

It won't pick up Aussie signals unless through a sattelite box etc?

Bring it all including TVs. If they don't work, run them through a set-top box or VCR. Anything you don't need you can sell. Aussies love to buy 2nd hand stuff.

Bring as much as you can, especially as you are not footing the bill!!!!

it will cost a fortune to replace all your household items!

One of our tv's did it all depends on in the settings if there is a country list and au is on it. Have a search through your menu selection and see if it has a country of use bit and see if ozz land is on there.

I still have single beds we brought from the uk and bought new matresses here, they fit no problem, sorry can't comment on any other sizes of bed.
