Fair point but Daisy Hill is about as handy as it gets for Logan Central without having to live on the other side of the M1. Which, let's face it, is the 'wrong' side of those tracks, relatively.

Ah! Fair enough....Daisy hill would be OK to live.... I thought you meant to use as a short cut.

Logan central can be awkward to get to from the east by any route.

I guess the other option is to get out towards Browns Plains, there is some acreage out there and I'm guessing it's more affordable than Daisy Hill.

I'm not familar with the area but I'd imagine the commute would be OK.

Yuck-that commute sounds bad then.
Hubby also went to Springfield lakes and loved it. I know there is lots of congestion there too but was hoping it would be mostly people heDong into Brisbane as opposed to Logan?
Anyone know what that commute would be like?
Whereis.com says 20 mins but am guessing that is off peak!

I'd doubt 20 minutes even off-peak to be honest (sorry not to be the bearer of better news generally in this thread).

I've never used Whereis.com for directions so I've just done one local run I regularly do with no traffic (at the speed limit, ish). It said 10 minutes and I know there is no Earthly way it is happening under 16.

Having said that it would depend on what the Logan Motorway is like during peak (and, as you say, probably against the flow), I don't use it so will bow to others ...

According to Google Maps, it's between 33 and 44 minutes. That presumably would be with no other traffic on the road? Google aren't that clever to be able to take into account random amounts of traffic.

You should definately look at Cornubia / Daisy Hill / Shailer Park...older suburbs but with some lovely properties and decent sized blocks.

For us to drive to Logan central takes around 10 - 20 mins under normal conditions..we are in Shailer Park.
