hi cheryl,

I`ve been offered a job on their neonatal unit, more special care at the mo; but it`s a nice unit and i went for a look around last aug and the staff seemed really friendly. Were house sitting in Nerang for a few months this will give us plenty of time to look around and find a nice place to live,so weve kinda fallen on our feet . lucky

cheryl,
we`ve booked our flights for 31st July. have you been allocated a co yet. i think from what i`ve read the midwifery is very different a little more Dr lead than most of the midwives would like but i`ll wait and see. What hospital are you at ,I`ll keep you informed on how we get on.

They are in the process of building a new hospital which will be open in 2012. Check out the link http://www.health.qld.gov.au/buildin...gchospital.asp When this opens i believe they will kock down SOuthport and turn it into units.

Cheryl, Pac pines is a nice area but there are a lot of British people live up there. The public transport is pretty average too. If it is during the day it is not too bad but after say 5-6pm you are very limited to getting around. Have you been over here before?
