Milo,

You are not clear as to the information that you are seeking. Is it practical information you want or is it more social / support? If you have no or few family members or friends in Oz you may be in the same situation as many expats, in which case this forum does provide a lot of practical information as well as support to newbies. My partner returned to Oz after 17 years in the UK and he does not seem too traumatised. Likewise he moved to the UK 17 years after 20 years in Oz having left Britain when he was six moths old. He adapted pretty well, perhaps a bit more British than the British! Now that we are in Australia many assume that I am the one who grew up here and that my Aussie raised partner is the true Brit.

I was born in 68 and was dragged kicking and screaming back to the uk when I was 10, I have many fond memories of Brisbane.
I'm in the process of applying for the ozzy passport now, hope to be popping down to London soon to sort it out.
Thanks

Its more the practical side of things, how easy is it to sort out bank accounts, tax number etc. Its all very bewildering :scared:
I'm going over there knowing no-one and I'll be going it alone! I came to britain when I was 10 and that was 26 years ago so its going to be a big wide world i'm stepping into.
