Far more important issues at stake than if Cleveland Indians want to drop wahoo logo if that's what they agreed to do next year. Certainly getting out of control, but not for the reasons you give.

Pointed out where the 'out of control' lays. It is certainly not with an American teams logo change......

Taking this for granted is bad enough. But openly hating the country simply because they are part of it - when what they desire is for it to be wholly and totally just about (and for) them - is wrong on so many levels.

Like I said, more gratitude, less anger...
You can't really make that argument. The original inhabitants would have evolved their own society without European colonisers, so there is no reason to expect 'gratitude'. By the same token, there is no point for their descendants to embark on a train f resentment and anger. History happened, everyone should move forward together.

None at all. The history until fairly modern times was one of none citizenship. It will take a few generations more probably to rectify past misdeeds. If the will remains to do so. If the majority belong to the quarter of the population apparently being increasingly 'cast of' to own devices then all bets apart from ever more prisons at huge cost will be an ever more likely result.

I don't expect you live in Australia. The message is rather clear I think to those whom do. I can phrase it in a few other languages if you wish. OK I'll take it at face value, at that you are not attempting to be a smart alec.

The Australian government increasingly appears to have cut lose about a quarter of the population whom are going backwards in the growing economic divide. I would assume it fair to include the vast majority of the indigenous population to be within this threshold.

It has only been in living history that Aboriginals were given the vote and rights enjoyed by those that came later.

It was not a level playing field to start with , with the highest instances of ill health, early death, blindness, lack of education, and so on in the country. Hardly surprising outcomes are mixed. But while progress has been slow, it is there.

Much more comprehensible. Nah, don't live Down Under, Blue, live back in Pomland...Digger...

I'm not sure what you mean by "cut loose" a quarter of the population? Is the government obligated to support the Aborginals ?

BTW, is it ok to use the word "abo" (as I've heard some Aussies say) or is that not PC these days?

Its not ok to shorten the name where a chip on shoulder is involved. Abo and Paki is out. Aussie is in.

Aboriginals are 3% of the population. It's considered offensive to shorten the name.

That's a shame, I quite liked 'abo' with a broad Aussie accent. I think they should reclaim the word, just as gays reclaimed 'queer'.

Happy days on arriving at almost mutual understanding. It can't be easy living off shore Europe pre cast off day not too far ahead. Although another vote may well secure the anchor.

'Cut loose' ,means an increasing number of the population are falling behind in the social/economic divide due to a range of factors from declining value of the security net, to casual and part time (underutilised) nature of work, no rent protections, over extended themselves in personal debt, full on, long fanged capitalism in other words. The indigenous population, still largely their ranks firmly in the camp mentioned, would be largely exposed to the inequalities due to policy.
It can be argued the amount of support the government is obliged to give. Depends on your politics where one would stand on this issue. As a race the Indigenous remain firmly at the bottom in all listings.

Some Aussies in UK do come over as being over represented in the moronic state unfortunately. I certainly used to hear some of the most ignorant as well as racist views amongst a number of them. Hopefully those are less in number these days......

No it is not kosher to use Abo. It is a derogatory term as another mentioned like Paki in UK (not used in Australia unless in cricket and not regarded as derogatory)

Anyway, we do hope you guys don't get your feet wet with the rising tide over there. We won't be able to accommodate you all over here. Full up sign expected to go up soon.
