Re: Moreton Island-Qld
Went over for a few days on a private boat at Xmas.....slept on the boat.
It was a bit busy....we moored at Tangalooma but did not go to the resort.
There is really not a lot else on the island unless you are into 4WD....or just want some peace and quiet although the area around the ferry is pretty busy with campers etc.

Re: Moreton Island-Qld
Hi,
my brother got married at the Tangalooma resort in 05 and we spent a week there at the time.
There was pleny to do at the resort in terms of snorkelling, swimming to the wrecks, dolphin feeding, there is a games room & bar and the resort also organises 4WD trips around Moreton Island.
So you can either stay at the resort & let them organise everything or go it alone on Moreton island in which case you will definitely need a 4WD.
Hope this helps XX

Thanks All. It seems it would be good for a few days-we love camping and 4WD but not resorts !
