Sorry, yet another nursing question......

Can anyone help me to find out about pay in Qld?

I've searched the threads and have come up with links to the state unions but you have to be a member to log in and find out.

I'm 7 years qualified specialising in A&E if that helps!

I can't find the payrates for NSW but I'm sure payrates are much of a muchness across Oz although I may be wrong.

Sorry I cant find the link but the Brisbane hospital site has a jobs section that quotes rates of pay. Also worth looking through the jobs listed on qld nursing agencies, from memory there were loads for A&E nurses, hourly/weekly rates also given.
Where in Qld are you heading?

You can subscribe to them and they will email you regularly with job adverts

To anyone interested in NSW, I work in Sydney and the public hospital rates posted by London nurse were as at 1/1/2003, since then there has been a 5% rise at 1/7/2003 and 3.5% rise as of 1/1/2004, but the web site hasn't got the updated awards on yet (to those of you who already live here this will not be surprising )

Michaela, we're heading for the Sunshine Coast to begin with hopefully in August but our application isn't even in the post yet!!
Been looking at Nambour hospital but not many jobs advertised. Open to moving around when we get there. We have a year before our eldest has to start school so we can go wherever.
How about you? Are you Qld bound?

We're heading to Brisbane in Feb. I havn't got a job lined up yet as I'd like a bit of time to find my way around and be sure where we'll settle. We cant take too long to decide though as our daughter is just school age.
