Default Money transfer

Hello all!

I've set up my Aussie Bank account ahead of my move and I'm trying to transfer money into it from RBS, which is proving a little more complicated than I imagined it would be.

They want a National Clearing code, which I can't find anywhere on my new Aussie Bank's website, or in the details I was given when opening the account.

So I googled it, and the BE forum came up (quelle suprise!).

Am I doing this wrong? Should I be using Halo or HiFX instead?

If so, I guess the point still stands, what info do I need and how do I manage the nomenclature!!?

Thanks,
Regards, Chris.

Have a look at moving it with International Money Transfers - Low Fees, Great Rates - Send Money Overseas -much easier and undoubtably cheaper.
You move your £ to their Barclays account, they shift it across into $ and deposit it into yur Aus account. No need for international codes etc.

Hi Chris.

I'd Google {bank name} and {SWIFT code}.

And yes, I'd use one of the specialist forex currency transfer companies.

Best regards.
