I would get on to this lot a month or so prior to leaving, you might get refunds from some of them. We did - all those that you pay by dd over 10 or 8 months or those that take the money for the coming month.

also beware of lead time and minimum contracts...
in particular, if you are with NTL - they want 3 months written notice (see www.ntlhell.co.uk :scared:
If you updgrade your mobile, you commit to another 12 months and some of the latest contracts run for 18 or even 24 months.
