Default Microchip records for your pet

Just a quick post as we thought we'd covered all bases in bringing our dog here with us...but make sure you contact the microchipping database in UK to give them your new address, they do occassionally get calls from overseas...and also ask your new local vet here about registering your pet onto the Australian Central Animal Records database...the vet will rescan the chip and sign a form, you pay either $9 or $16 and there is your piece of mind...
Remember they are one of the family...you've paid to get them here with you...!

Just going through this at the moment and neither of our dogs seem to be recorded on any micropchip database even though they are microchipped so god knows what is up with that I can also recommend www.petregister.com.au , you register your pets and they send out a free tag to go on the collar, supposedly makes it easier to reunite you with your pets if your local council offices are closed
