Congratulations. I was applying for a spouse visa, it took all of five days and when I phoned hubby to say my passport was here with sticker inside he just said "about bloody time too!"

Having worked as a therapist with men I can tell you why they appear so calm. Half the time they are completely cut off from their emotions. Years of conditioning does it from "Little boys don't cry" to "Take like a man" - as opposed to any other human being I guess. Often the only "acceptable" emotion that men show is anger. Sorry to prick your bubble sparks.

Northerner we would have loved to come to the Manchester meet, but its my husband and little boys birthday on the 2nd and were having a family meal on the 10th, it was meant to be a casual meal, now its going to be a big announcement meal. Can't quite beleive we've got the visa, feels a bit strange today. That could have something to do with all the Champers we drank last night
