Project Management is strong in Melbourne at the moment but I only specialist in IP network PM so can't comment on development PM etc.

There are a lot of very big projects going on here right now which are consuming a lot of resources.

I love you even more

I'd been getting pretty depressed recently over the worsening economic picture for us potential migrants. This has given me a bit of hope!

What big things are happening in PM Melbourne then mate? Big network IP projects usually mean development ones to follow I guess :-)

Need to find some work in the next few weeks or will be eating into our savings (its more expensive here than it was 3 years ago when we last came).

The biggest one is the Telstra Next generation project. Then there'll be this Kevin Rudd broadband stuff. The banks have a lot going on, especially ANZ right now. Also the mining companies although Rio Tinto is moving all its staff to Brisbane.

As I said, I know nothing about software development so I'm sorry can't help there.

1 week in Melbourne and all's good here1

Just come in from a night in the high-rollers room at the Casino - was an interesting night with some serious money changing hands for some (not me with my $50 though lol)

Pick up our new car tomorrow as well so will be mobile at last.

Should really get a job sometime soon I guess!
