Default Melbourne - School Uniforms

Hi All,

My 11 yr old is extremely concerned at having to wear a school uniform consisting of shorts and long socks(He's too cool for long socks!!!!).

Can anyone confirm whether or not the summer uniform in Melbourne does indeed include long socks.

Thanks

Colin

Not at the school my daughter attends. The boys wear shorts and short grey socks (with black shoes).

My 9 year old was the same when she saw a Melbourne school in GMTV and the girls had huge floppy hats on, she wasnt impressed. I know its for their sun protection but try and tell her that.

no long socks at my school either.

But the hats have to be worn in term one and four, otherwise no out door play:lecture:

My daughter didn't want one of the floppy hats, she wanted the legionnaires cap (think that's what it's called), so that's what she wears instead.
