Have a look up at the Basin as well. If your looking for bush setting but still commuteable. Our experience was good local food and service. Big blocks with good sized homes. And it like most of melbourne is family centric and safe.

Wouldn't say it was a Brit ghetto just the end of the line - literally. It is not a very nice place - the town centre is run down - and no amount of estates will change that. Officer might get away with it. It's only real saving grace is that it is the gateway to Gippsland and bits of the rural countryside around it have genuine (local) history.
To make a over-generalised and unsubstantiated point. It does appear that any development with the word Lake or Lakes in it's title does seem to attract a lot of Brits. :D |
