Hi,
Just think about the reasons that made you apply, you can change your mind after you get there if you like. Dont give up now and always say "what if".
Phil.
ps, Been 4 times, married in Brisbane & hope to live there.

Thanks for all the positive feedback, I know everything you say is true, but the fear is still there! Only natural I guess.
We submitted TRA July 02
Application submitted August 02
So all pretty much within expected timescales!

England is a beautiful, fantastic country. You can always come back if you don't like it in Australia.
You've got the best of both worlds - the opportunity to try living and working in a new country and the safety net of returning to England if it doesn't work.
Best of luck.
Karl.

Fantastic news Jamesy,
I am also swaying a bit at the moment. Got our Pr granted in the week and all of the sudden it is sunny and cheerful in England. I am frequently reminding myself of how grim it will be in 3/ 4 months.
It is a difficult step to take and I am going to find it hard telling work and giving up the security of my job. But I know deep down we are doing the right thing for the family. After all I want to go for the climate, outdoor life and better standard of living it will offer us. For 9 months of the year you can barely step outside over here!
I think the Summer must be the worst time to get the visa as things look good around you.
Keep positive
Tina
