Medicare advice please
Being the silly season and having spare time I am slowly chucking out old paper work, etc.
A question about Medicare if anyone can help? I have tried the site but can't get on.
My husband's card has expired and with a 2007 return wondering does he just pop into a Medicare office when back in Oz to get a new one?
Cheers in advance.

Just take your passport and visa in and they should be able to update on the spot.

I've been trying to remember what we did, when we came back.
I vaguely remember going to the Medicare office, giving my details, and getting a temporary slip till I got my new card in the post a few days later.
Pretty simple to fix it up I think.

If he is a returning Australian citizen he will probably need to provide evidence he has returned to Australia permanently, as opposed to just visiting.
