Default medical records? do we need them?

Hi,
Just trying to sort out the hand over files, and have read some info here saying that the dr's in Aus don't really require them.

Is this the case? Has anyone needed them for say, private medical insurance?

Mine is the complicated one, with allergies etc!!!! just wondered whether to pay the £50 and get them anyway, or just get my prescription list.

Any help??????

If it's complicated bring the info. If it's basic don't bother.

Why are they charging you £50? I thought doctors surgeries were only allowed to charge for the photocopying/printing of the records? Or is the £50 for photocopying the lot?

Just take the stuff relating to any complicated issues you've had. You don't really need to take it all.

Take the vaccine lists/books for kids, if you have any.

They charge per copy but the £50 will be the max cost,
