medical question- advice please!!
hi
OH has been diagnosed with having kidney failure and has found out that he has only got one kidney which is functioning at 42%( consultants say this is almost normal for people with only one kidney) but obviously what they want to do is stabilise the kidney through blood tests.
my question is, they at the moment cannot give a full outcome on his kidney functioning i.e. it could be another 20- 30 yrs or it could be in a couple of years before dialysis or transplant as he has only just been diagnosed and needs more time for them to read results to find out if they have stabilised deterioration via. blood pressure tablets( which have been significantly lowered - from average of 150/90 ish to 130/60 ish in 3 weeks. fingers crossed that this on its own will slow down the deterioration. ( BTW he is 37 and had no signs or symptoms at all- only through meds from panel Dr. having high blood pressure and protein in water sample)
does anyone know if we could still get visa as the outcome is inconclusive and could be for many years. has anyone been in the same/ similar boat and managed to still be accepted.
we would love to get into OZ, with the relaxed and healthy lifestyle( which would do him good esp. blood pressure) the rest of the family are okay- will the CO take this into consideration( 2 young children therefore eventually earning and raising family themselves- being an asset to oz economy.
the consultant is as we speak writing her report for LCU, do you think it would be a good idea to e-mail CO ( have already couple of times to update on process) and mention the above about family e.t.c so she could look at the whole picture
any advice please.
many thanks

thanks for message Bezzanbob
still hanging on - it would've been undetected if not for meds so at least they can now keep an eye on it. still a shocker though.
