Med lab techs jobs?

Med lab techs jobs?
Hi everybody, i was wondering if anyone knows how good the market is right now for a medical laboratory technologist (or officer as they are called in Aus)
Is there any lab techs in this forum?
I know about "seek" and i checked the governement sites etc to see how in demand this field of work is but i'd like to have info from actual people who are in this field. Apparently i could get sponsored by the state of NSW because it's in demand there but when I search for jobs there specifically, i don't find any.
If anyone has any info on this i'd really appreciate it!
Also if anyone works in any hospitals and is in contact with lab techs there, please let me know.
