Me again!
Sorry folks - but in my ongoing quest to try and find accomodation for our first few weeks of arriving in Oz (Melbourne) could anyone tell me what the Mornington Peninsula is like. I've been searching for accomodation (near the sea) and there are a few nice looking holiday rentals in this area. Plus a place called Rye.
Anyone know much about these areas and are we able to get to Melbourne in about an hour from them?
I'm getting so confused - Really want to get something booked so at least I know where we're going. I don't want an apartment or motel/hotel as we have a toddler.
Any help would really be appreciated (again)

I only stayed there for a week so FWIW
I was in Dromana http://www.kangerong.com.au/ in a cabin.
there was a small shopping centre there, lovely beach. Rye was further along and I drove back to Brighton in an hour so to go all the way to the city would take 1 1/2 hours. I think MT Martha is a lovely spot, I have an internet friend there:-) and Mornington is the main town with a good sized Mall. I would love to go back to Mornington. Then you have Frankston a few miles away too.
