Default Mcdonalds

Ok do we all have problems in Mcdonalds in australia or is it just us . We think its so funny , we have tried many ways of ordering but still are having problems. Shawnie doesnt like cheese so we ask as it says on the menu Hamburger happy meal , they say is that with cheese , i say no , they then say oh a junior burger . Right i think to myself got it , so when we go again im all smug , as you do , i ask for a junior burger happy meal easy , not , she hands it all over and says " im just waiting on your cheese burger with no cheese " So what do we ask for next time !!! We think its so funny , i have to be ready to do battle on a hamburger.

Perhaps we should just get shawnie to eat cheese
The burgers are better at Hungry jacks

When we went to florida, we wnet through the drive in and I asked for a large coffee. Well large it certainly was. It was the size of a bucket !!!!!
I always make sure in the UK that I always say without Mayo or cheese. You just dont know what those young students working for peanuts do to it

I used to work in Maccas when I Was 16/17. Then BK a few months later. Transferred cos BK paid 3.00 and Maccas paid 2.50 p hour. (This was 1989/90!!) When I got to 18 it was even more..also Maccas was in to 'specialisation' and BK was in to 'production lines' - so laziness/ mistakes were easier to hide..

not sure about the cheese - but I recall spilling the Filets on to the floor then putting them back on the tray - didn't want to get further behind...especially as it was match day at Twickers and there were hordes in the "restaurant"...

thats why there're so mad on clean floors...

badgers
(4 stars on expats but no stars at Maccas)

Arrived Brisbane airport, waiting for connecting flight, hubby needs a little snack to 'tide me over'.
Spot a McDonalds...there's something new here..toasted cheese sandwich... looks luscious in the ad.
He takes one bite and spits it out..."tastes like bloody cardboard on top of plastic." You've been warned.

I have the same problem, although my daughter likes a plain burger with nothing in it so you can imagine the confusion that causes! They look at me strangely and say "what just the pattie and the bun" and i say yes, then they park me up as they have to cook it specially, then guess what, it comes out with cheese in!! I've solved the problem now though, my kids don't eat fast food anymore, turns out they both have an intolerance to food additives and preservatives so can't have it!!

When my daughter has a 'happy meal' sha normally wants milk as her drink. This causes MASSIVE problems as they run around trying to find the manager to find out how much to charge for the milk!!!! In the UK you get milk in a small carton, they don't have those here, maybe nobody has EVER asked for milk!!!???

I can tell you I was not a happy bunny to be on a real lads stag do in Melbourne with a bunch of footy guys having to ask for 'Junior Burger' because I don't like cheese. Very embarrassing! :scared:

This does not get better as one gets older. If I have to endure a Micky D meal, my choice is CheeseBurger - Meat, Cheese and Onion Only, Milk and small fries.

I have endured - the 'wot no bun' hee hee, also as you said the no milk price, or even 'no milk' when they sell milk shakes! I have taken my meal back so many times, as if it comes with even a bit of guck on it I cannot eat it. But then to be honest this is everywhere in the world I have been. At least they try to help me here. In San Fran they refused to make me a 'special' cause I should have seen they were too busy!

Now they are selling the 'salads' - best quote I heard on the radio here....'lets see how long that lasts .....until they give lots of people food poisioning!'

Cheers

My wife had one of those chicken wraps, it was so disgusting she demanded her money back. The girl said she couldn't do it as there was no manager present and got stroppy.

My wife made the girl hand over the money from her own purse.

I felt that was rather harsh myself...
