Can anyone tell me what the maximum weight and size of bag i can use as hand luggage?? looking to take laptop,Video camera and all cables in one bag

BTW i fly out tomorrow 2.05pm From Glasgow with Emirates, anyone else on the same flight???????/

Did you book direct with Emirates. If so, don't forget to check in on line, saves all the hassle at the airport.

I managed to do the Check in today and got decent seats

Stupid queastion maybe, can i just get rid of my cases at any time at the airport? would like to be there prob by 10am and have something to eat and spend some time with the family rather than run run aroung with the cases

You usually have to hang on to your cases until check in opens, which is usually 3 hours before departure (it is at gatwick anyway), so if your flight is at 2.00, you should be able to check in and offload your cases at about 11.00.

Remember to look out for the "check in on line" queue, which should be way quicker than the normal queue.
