As has been said before you often get problems in seaside towns. I loved Manly whilst we were looking around but found it a bit too packed with tourists.
it is where I would have liked to live but there are people who live there in my husbands office who often have to take the bus when the ferry is out due to rough seas and moan that the ferries are not heated in winter and freezing cold
obviously this put us off we found Cronulla which has all the good points of manly but none of the bad

Bear in mind that to us expats winter is like spring!! I am amazed at the amount of people wearing overcoats and scarves on the ferry and going to work when all I have is a simple jacket. It is all releative. I like the idea of Cronulla but the train journey is too long for me.

It's all relative - maybe they've just moved from Asia?
Seasider - out on a ferry today wearing a vest, a knitted polo-neck, jeans, boots, a scarf, a thick jacket, and still freezing her bits off.
