Hi just want some feedback on airlines. Am due to go back to UK from Mel for a trip on my own with 2 kids 3 & 5!! Have prices from both airlines, cathay are coming out a bit cheaper. Has anyone flown with these with young children and what are your thoughts, thanks Sam

Hi

Only flown with Malaysia, not overly impressed with them myself, although I know many people rate them highly. They were very stingy on drinks and meals, entertainment systems didn't work properly, on the plus side, seat space was more spacious than the other long hauls we've done.

Don't know about Cathay, hopefully someone will come along soon!

Both airlines are as good as each other really. If I had to pick then I would use Cathay, but thats only because the flights tend to be better timed and the stop in HK is better than a long stop in KL.

If it was my choice I'd go Cathay. For no other reason that we had a better flight with them even though we had a business class upgrade on Malaysian!

Hi there

I have flown with both airlines many times and although i like Malaysian i reckon that Cathy comes out top, i think they were voted best airline a couple of years running not too long ago, go Cathy.
