Default Main applicant and initial entry

Does everyone have to travel together when entering the country for the first time? I know the main applicant has to enter first, but what if another member of the family can't travel at the same time as the main applicant and is arriving at a later date after the main applicant has already arrived? Hope that makes sense.

As long as the main applicant enters first it is okay for the other(s) to arrive on a later date as long as it is before the expiration of the initial entry date.

I'll back that according to what my agent told me.
