Not agreeing with the 'turn back the boats' policy is not the same as keeping illegal immigrants, unless you are reading something into it that was not intended.

ABS analyse the stats and publish. 9 news is a business and they sell what they think their audience wants.

There are many issues and problems with the policy to "turn back the boats" which make it unpalatable to many of us. Its simply inhumane.
Allowing illegal immigrants to remain onshore unchallenged and unlawfully is a totally different matter.

Indeed, Channel 9 and other similar stations are in it for the money and they know what their Joe Public audience sector wants to read/watch. Same level as the tabloids and what used t be called the "Red Tops".

Where any evidence that 9News lies? Why nobody sues them? There are so many laws about fake news, defamation, etc., why they don't work?
Why I do see myself how official government statistic lies? To be polite, it doesn't represent important parts of the statistics that would affect total picture.
