pulled this one out of the bag tho, see there not all that badly paid.

Job Name Boilermaker/Welder
Job Location KWINANA
Job Description Metal Fabrication on structural and plate work, workshop work only able to read drawing, high trade skills required.

Requirements Trade Quail -Extensive workshop exp on plate & structural.
Hours 50+
Transport Own Transport Required
Pay $23.00 / Hr

The jobs are out there thats plain to see though as in uk rates vary enormously with location so unless you factor in your destination and cost of housing in that location it's difficult to make fair comparisons. We looked at rates on the sunshine coast and they were $10 per hour less than Brisbane and further up from Mooloolaba in Gympie they were $5 per hour less than sunshine coast all that within a 3 hr drive. Rates are increasing slowly as the housing boom spreads northwards but then so are the house/land prices.

I'm with you- my husband, my son (and little one under manufacture!), my family, my friends (many who I have met through this site), a home I can buy outright, cars and a half decent wage, and of course lets not forget the beach and the sun- it's sooooooo cold here, snow and sleet (with no end in sight!), papers full of war (we I believe are the number one target) and Operation Ore. I cant wait. Money doesnt make me happy (though it will be nice to have a bit!)

Cheers Fishyben!
You are right about the half wage , you think the papers here are not full of war little Johnny wants to play with the big boys only cost 88 Australian lifes up to now in Bali.
You may get all you say but because you will be well down the social ladder you will feel the same as you do in the UK , give it 2 years you will up to your neck in debt in a house that you will be never be able too pay for , like those who I know and work with who all bought there first house out right now sit in much larger ones with empty pockets and unpaid bills.

Sorry I cannot work out if you are on drugs or just off the planet , going to Bali right now as you said is for the those who love a gamble with their own lives , upto now 88 people have lost and many more lost limbs and australian' s were the target a soft one at that.

AUSTRALIA has doubled its military commitment to a possible war with Iraq with another 450 military personnel to be dispatched to the Persian Gulf.

Fourteen of the RAAF's F/A-18 Hornet jets flown by the country's top-gun fighter pilots will join elements of the army's elite Special Air Service and other navy and air force personnel preparing for war to disarm Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein.

They will leave Australia within a fortnight.

Making the announcement in Adelaide, Defence Minister Robert Hill said Australia's commitment of more than 2000 troops to the Gulf region would cost taxpayers several hundreds of millions of dollars.

Get the cost of housing out of your head you can pay a million dollars plus to live in a good area its up to you , as for jobs the local paper in WA had 1400 in on Saturday for a population of 2 million state wide , 1.3 million in Perth
A lot of them lowley paid so people perfer the dole , unemployment is at 6.5% in WA some areas 28% , national its 6% .

Ring it up it son you did see the 50 hours that means they want you to work that with no overtime rate its a flat rate , 50 hours would be a short week , every hour you work over 38 should be O/T, so they pay flat rate and work you 80 hours plus who wins?
The chances are you would be on contract no benefits or holidays.
No did not edit the jobs numbers are on them were easy to find maybe you did not look hard enough ring them up? if you are interested in any jobs I would gladley ring these guys up for you I enjoy a laugh.

Hi Grub,

Good way to have it all is not to become a marketing victim. Most stuff people buy is industrial garbage. Get a stash and dash.
